Chinese lanterns light up New York

People visit the first Winter Lantern Festival in New York on Dec 29, 2018. The monthlong festival was held at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Staten Island from Nov 28 to Jan 6, attracting more than 150,000 people to visit. [Photo/Chinaculture.org]

LED lanterns of lotuses are featured at the festival, together with some 40 LED installations spanning 7 acres of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, including models of Chinese dragons, porcelain and pandas.
