Exhibition honors overseas Chinese people’s contribution to reform and opening up

An exhibition kicked off in Beijing on Wednesday to reflect overseas Chinese people’s contribution to China’s Reform and Opening-up over the past four decades.

The exhibition at the Overseas Chinese History Museum of China has hundreds of artifacts, old pictures and documents on display, that show overseas Chinese people’s changing daily life, their entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and support for China’s economic developments, as well as international communication over the last 40 years.

It also reviews China’s policies on overseas Chinese affairs over the last four decades which have strengthened the connections between overseas compatriots and their motherland.

The exhibition is set to run until Jan 27.
