Old fashioned, yet still popular.

Tattoo stickers are such lovely things that can be used by both children and adults.

In the 1990s, adults didn't like them much, yet Chanel brought them to the high fashion runway in its 2010 spring/summer shows.

Since then, tattoo stickers are no longer children's fun, but something stylish.

Patterns now include larger coverage, from cartoons to mythical animals to mysterious symbols, such as the mandala and hakuna matata (meaning "no problems").

As summer is the best time to show off the body, tattoo stickers seem a lighter to wear and easy to change choice compared to jewels and real tattoos.

Some patterns can be extremely hot choices on hot days.

For example, in May and June, a bunch of little pink pigs from a British cartoon series Peppa Pig crawled across many Chinese children's arms, in the form of tattoo stickers.

Though the tide of popularity for these cartoon figures is toned down, the tattoo stickers are still beloved products.

However, some sold in online stores were reported to have too many chemicals that could cause allergies, such as itching and flushing.

So why not create one yourself?

If you are good at painting, you can create your own temporary tattoo using jet black eye liner and a bottle of hairspray or clear nail polish.

First draw the pattern on your skin with the eye liner.

Second, spray it with hairspray or cover it with clear nail polish, which will help to maintain the tattoo for a few hours.
