In search of Taoism at Laojun Mountain in Luoyang

Located in Luanchuan County under Luoyang city in central China's Henan Province, Laojun Mountain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the province. As part of an extension of the Qinling Mountain Range which divides China into North and South, Laojun Mountain is known for its cultural heritage of Taoism as it was once the retreat of Laozi, a great Chinese philosopher and the founder of Taoism.
